On July 16, medical and pharmacy students gathered in Rabat for a national protest they called the “March of Rage,” after months of strikes opposing a reform of medical studies.

The movement emerged in response to the reduction of training from seven to six years and the absence of dialogue with authorities. After more than seven months of mobilization, tensions escalated as student councils were dissolved and protest activities banned on university premises.
